Who is RAM?

RAM (me) is a DevOps engineer by trade, and is absolutely fascinated by technology, computers, and flipping bits. RAM missed the heyday of the growing 90s web - and while modern tools and frameworks that abstract the programmer away from the bare metal are very convenient, they make it much harder to figure out how stuff works under the hood.

Why does ram-not-found exist?

So why is some Linux-obsessed rando building a neocities website that looks like it belongs in the 90s? That's a very good question...

Reason one - why not?

Because it's fun. God knows there's little enough of it left in modern life and technology.

Reason two - because the modern Internet is boring

This is the main reason, so let me repeat that a few times, mostly just because I can.

Because the modern Internet is boring.

Because the modern Internet is boring.

Because the modern Internet is boring.

That's it. That's the tweet. It also takes ten billion years to load these modern webpages that all look the same, especially on an old smartphone. This might become a warehouse of various random projects, or a blog, or whatever else - we'll see!
